TODAY IS #GIVINGTUESDAY
If you can find it in your heart, I’m running a fundraiser for Sunshine After the Storm. We are a certified 501(c)3 organization, operating out of Columbia, SC.
I know I did one in October, but we have a great need for increased donations right now as we send all the remaining packages from 2019 AND move into some new areas of grief support. In 2020 we are expanding into advocacy – for bereavement leave expansion to begin with, as well as more on maternal and infant health. The maternal and infant mortality rates in our country are off the chart – and that is horrible.
Other ways you can help:
If you don’t have cash to give, and you’re local, I will need help putting together the next batch of packages.
I would love to collect gift cards that you’ve received and never used. You can send gift cards to Sunshine After the Storm POBox 290041 Columbia, SC 29229
You can also do all of your shopping through SMILE – Amazon’s philanthropic endeavor. basically you shop through smile.amazon.com and you choose Sunshine After the Storm (Blythewood, SC) and when you shop, they give us a teeny tiny percent. But a teeny tiny percent adds up!
What’s coming in 2020?
We are looking to establish a PHYSICAL facility for healing! That’s in the works over the next year or two.
More care packages!
Another HEALING RETREAT – Charleston, SC in June 2020.
Attending conferences – Parents Healing Parents in Charleston, SC in April and the Mom Congress in May – where we will fight to have our voices heard on these incredible topics!
We’re excited about the things coming up in 2020.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
ps. Kathryn would have turned 8 next Tuesday. So I am requesting a donation of $8, $80, or, if you really have deep pockets, $800 Or any amount you want to give. I’m so grateful every day.
