I think about this a lot. How self-destructive grief can become, if it is allowed to be. How we can quickly become trapped in a cycle of unhealthy grieving.
All of us will do some things that may be considered unhealthy as we grieve. That’s not abnormal. It’s only when we allow it to get out of hand that we may run into trouble.
My vices? Food and alcohol. 45 extra pounds on my body which have led to other health issues. Not good. That’s unhealthy. I’m trying to take better care of myself and find other ways to deal with my emotions.
